There is a new book out by Jane Mayer called the Dark Side which discusses torture of terrorists and attempts to expose the current Bush II administration for their supposed illegal activities or how the cover of the book states "The inside story of how the war on terror turned into a war on American ideals". Having read only questions posed to the author I have come away with with a warm gushy feeling inside knowing that I won't be taken for whatever the purchase price of this piece of liberal crap at my favorite bookstore or Internet site. This is just another example of the velvet glove approach to terrorism that the liberal media has taken on as their mantra in this country, even though it's been proven time and again that the only way to deal with terrorism is with an iron hand.
For the life of me, I can't understand why there is any objection to using whatever methods one can conjure up to get accurate information from terrorist's if it will ultimately end their activities. I guess a Webster definition is in order again, Terrorism; The systematic use of terror as a means of coercion. Oh, my friends there's more, this next one is from the UN, who I usually wouldn't give the time of day to, but got this one just about right and it should get the point across even to someone with soft S _ _ t for brains, Terrorism; Criminal acts, including against civilians, committed with the intent to cause death or serious bodily injury, or taking of hostages, with the purpose to provoke a state of terror in the general public or in a group of persons or particular persons, intimidate a population or compel a government or international organization to do or abstain from doing an act. Even the UN, the biggest wuss organization in the world, the most left leaning organization outside of a communist country itself managed to come up with an accurate description of what terrorism is and to actually state that there is no place for terrorism in this world. How is it then, one author after another manages to miss the entire point of terrorism, the effect it has on a population and why it is so important to eradicate it wherever it rears it's ugly head?
Much of Ms. Mayer's information apparently comes from Red Cross documents and reports about interrogation techniques used on terror suspects and again I am baffled because the Red Cross deals with the aftermath of terrorism almost daily in countries across the globe. Unless the Red Cross, through some perverse notion, feels that terrorism helps keep them in business I can't understand why they would make any of these materials available to anyone. I guess Ms. Mayer is one of those who think 9/11 really didn't take place and that it was our government that blew up the World Trade Towers for their own end, right. Or maybe she forgot the first attempt on the Trade Towers organized by the now infamous blind Muslim cleric Omar Abdel Rahmen not to be confused with the Ramen noodle company, six dead and over one thousand injured. If overseas accounts of terrorism and it's aftermath are necessary there are many, many more examples which lend great credence to dealing harshly with terrorists.
Getting back to the premise of a war on American ideals as stated on the book's jacket. What are American Ideals anyway, kowtow to terrorists and thugs, submit to the demands of the world's scum, become the politically correct pussymen that the liberal as well as the conservative media would like us to become? I don't think so, unless we all decide that our way of life is not all it's cracked up to be and you won't hear that from me. Soooooo, here's my simple solution. Get out the electrodes, attach them to the testicles of each and every terrorist we catch and turn on the juice, throw the switch and leave the room. Get the information that's needed and take care of business. Don't say a word or leak any information to anyone, just let the disappearance of the terrorists speak for itself. If someone leaks information give them a little shock, say just enough to bring them to their senses, so they understand that what we have can be lost if we lose the will to rid ourselves of these vermin that have no ideals. There is no peaceful co-existence with terrorism.
