Senator Kerry just can't seem to keep himself out of the news and for good reason, he wants all of the limelight he can get and always has. Within the last week he helped 'broker' the deal to get 'his friend' Hamid Karzi to accept a runoff election by more than likely promising him the moon, possibly unrestricted movement of Afghanistan's principle export, Opium. Maybe he promised him the services of ACORN in the upcoming election because that would guarantee his winning the contest and maybe he just promised him a set of plane tickets for himself and his family if the situation in Afghanistan begins to fall apart and Hamid needs someplace to go with all of the aid money he has stolen.
But the best is Mr. Kerry questioning the General McChrystal's request for more troops to be able to effectively fight against the Taliban and al qaeda, stating that his plan is to ambitious, does this mean that Senator Kerry wants to do a Robert McNamara and send as many Americans to their death as possible. He talks about sending just part of the Generals request which is nothing more that an effort to placate the left and the right, kind of a numbers game, send to few the right gets really miffed, send to many and the left goes ballistic. But either way it increases the danger for the troops that are already there as it shows that not only is Barack Obama indecisive but so are the politicians that are advising him on his every move.
An article today stated that Kerry was making these statements in front of a group from the Council on Foreign Relations which is made up of former Presidents, high ranking bureaucrats, businessmen with close government ties and scholars, an incredibly influential think tank located in New York City. My guess is that the outcome has already been settled, but there is one real sticking point in this conflict that even the Council may not have a handle on or be able to rig the outcome and that is the Afghan people don't like us, OK they can't stand us, but it's not just us it's everyone they can't stand, they don't like us or anyone else invading their country. So when the Senator is putting our troops in harms way by under staffing them his endgame as he states it may never come to pass and the membership of the Council may never reap the profits that I'm sure they do in most cases.
Anyway, I was never aware that Mr. Kerry was such a brilliant military strategist and an armchair General of such distinction. His past military history and experience surely wouldn't indicate that he was such a standout that he qualified for any of these titles, it looks more like a certain idealist appeaser, who is by the way, the top guy, that the Senator appears to be emulating. I can just see the Taliban and their al qaeda allies now, telling their people that the US has lost it's will and if they just bide their time the Yankee Imperialists will go away just like the Russians did with their tails between their legs. There are probably similar reactions in the Presidential Palaces in Russia, Iran, North Korea, China, North Africa, parts of Europe and South America. The American people are being played again by the politicians in Washington at their expense.

It looks like the Obama people are taking a page from the Socialist play book that deals with discrediting the media prior to taking state control.
The past several weeks has been marked by the usual Obama rhetoric dealing with the dozens of programs he plans to initiate in his first and hopefully last term as President. The President is still giving almost daily speeches echoing the same message of Hope and Change in what appears to be some weird Manchurian candidate kind of brainwash that he and his handlers think will sway not only the American people but the whole world to willingly accept their Socialist agenda. He continues to waffle on Afghanistan, still won't give clear facts about his health care program, keeps babbling on about how he is going to generate millions of jobs in Green industries when the basic infrastructure is non existent and worse the technology is in most cases years off, the deficit continues to grow at a staggering pace and the administration keeps making excuses for all of the money that was paid out to various financial concerns and has virtually vaporized without leaving a trace.
All of the above adds up to news, news that doesn't have to be distorted or embellished, only reported as it is dished out by the White House and according to the spokespeople for the President, that ain 't right. From all appearances the President and his 'people' think the American people should just step up and swallow whatever message they hand out and we should accept blindly whatever policies they wish to put into effect regardless of what the cost to America is. So when anyone or any organization particularly the Television Media questions the administration's messages or policies they get very upset, so upset that they effect genuine Socialist tactics of attempting to discredit the Media, if you don't believe this you only have to look to our South American neighbor Venezuela, and it's current Socialist dictator Hugo Chavez. When Mr. Chavez took office after wowing the ignorant with promises of redistribution of wealth, he set about discrediting the Media shortly before he took state control, as Socialist governments know, it's easier to control the general population when you control the flow and content of information.
Now it appears that even the left leaning Obama supporting Media outlets see their own position as tenuous at best, they might agree with his politics to a point but they don't relish the idea of potentially being state run puppets one day, so like it or not they have to stick up for the people at Fox who have fallen into disfavor for relatively straightforward reporting and commentary. Whats odd is that the left Media outlets have terrible ratings in comparison to Fox, to the point that some of their most 'progressive' commentators have only a small following, yet they somehow managed see the danger of going down the path that the Obama people are attempting to get them to follow. It's going to be interesting to see what kind of a spin Mr. Emanuel and Mr. Gibbs try to put on this defection of their Media pets.
I'll bet that like the US, history isn't taught in schools in Venezuela as well as most if not all countries that are either run by Socialists or are leaning that way. Here's a hint, clueless is easier to control.

Organizing for America is just another Acorn off shoot taking advantage of the mentally weak and emotionally led to do their bidding.
Those cagey Democrats are back at it again, they're back to using their mindless foot soldiers in an effort to replicate their winning run to the White House, only this time they're getting quite a bit of opposition because the rest of America is finally waking up to what the Great Orator is up to. The Dems have mobilized the same non taxpaying masses that they used last year to intimidate regular Americans under the guise of Hope and Change, nice try this time but no point will be given. As the news continues to come out of Washington about how much Health Care is going to really cost in terms of increased taxation on all Americans, more and more people are pulling back their support. Not that the Administration ever had much support from the right, it's the traditional backers of the Democratic party that are turning away in droves
People are finally beginning to see that, tough they will have access to the so called Cadillac plans they will suffer in the long run because the cost will be stifling and the service may not be anything they currently are able to get. The lower side of the middle class will be oppressively taxed as they attempt to make the climb the middle or higher wage brackets thus making the American Dream next to impossible to attain. If Mr. Obama would tell the truth, which I'm beginning to think he is incapable of, he would tell America that there is no way that just taxing the rich and upper middle earners could even begin to cover what he and his handlers have in store for us all.
For my part I will vote in all upcoming elections to help rid the electorate of every Democrat and Republican that has tried to load this and every other counterproductive oppressive Bill on to the backs of the American taxpayer, this is the only way there will ever be change, our elected officials must be taught to understand that they are elected to work on the behalf of the American People.

Ah, the lofty company of Nobel Peace Prize receipients, I wonder if 44 will have them all over for a beer summit to celebrate?
The President woke up this morning somewhere between 1.2 and 1.6 million dollars richer and at the same time found himself in the lofty company of the likes of Jimmy Carter and Al Gore, I wonder if his handlers had to hide the razor blades or if he thought it was really cool. I always thought the Nobel Peace Prize was given to those who had accomplished a great deal promoting peace during their lives, so this most current issue of the prize makes it appear as though there were no qualified recipients or the basic criteria has changed as radically as the politics our current President and his many minions appear to espouse.
I can understand Jimmy Carter's win in that he has tried in his own weird naive way to promote peace in and around the middle east, albeit, at the expense and possible extermination of the Nation of Israel. Al Gore is the one though that is the most perplexing of them all, a Nobel Peace Prize for his over the top, OK, his outlandish, contrived, phony science, jive views on climate change that appear to have been promoted to make him very rich and accomplish nothing else whatsoever. Then we have Kofi Annan possibly one of the most ineffective useless and corrupt Secretary Generals of the UN which is in itself an oxymoron, remember his oil for food program where I believe one of his sons got really rich and the po' got mo' po'. And how can the world ever forget my all time favorite, Yasser Arafat, now I guess he's a good choice if you are the consummate Jew hater and think that terrorists are just misunderstood well intentioned guys. But wait, if you recall Mr. Arafat who was so concerned about the Palestinian people and their plight made sure that he got billions in funding and foreign aid to 'help improve the impoverished lives of his people, the Palestinians' when in reality Mr. Arafat was the sole recipient of many of those billions of Aid dollars dished out by that evil United States, yes billions, and deposited the cash in Swiss Bank accounts for himself and his family, and the neutral Swiss, knowing what he was doing never said a word, so much for Mr. Arafat.
President Obama has basically been given the award in the same way he was begging for the Olympics, for himself. Not for any special accomplishments but what he says he would like to do, it would be nice if the committee choosing their recipients would base their choices on what the individuals have accomplished and not what they promise and may never deliver. There have been many who deserve the award and I'm sure many who should have been awarded the prize instead of any of the above mentioned, but that's politics on the world stage.

I've created 1 million jobs since taking office, well I've saved or created 1 million jobs since taking office, well OK maybe it's all smoke and bull.
What is all this horse crap about creating 1 million jobs since taking office stuff, then in the next breath he says he has saved or created 1 million jobs since taking office, well, what is it and for that matter what kind of jobs have been created. None of the enlightened Obama people will tell anyone exactly what the jobs entail or what sector the jobs are in, are they government 'sit on your ass all day' and collect a check for doing basically nothing type jobs or are they real jobs that will contribute to our economy.
You see there are government jobs that we the taxpayers cover the salaries for and aren't really jobs that the economy benefits from since they don't make anything tangible or provide services that can be sold on the commercial markets. Then there are jobs in the private sector, those are jobs where people actually work for a living, produce products and provides services sold on the open markets, get paid for their productivity and pay taxes that go towards paying the salaries of the government workers that 'sit on their ass all day' and collect a check.
The undeniable facts are that unemployment continues to rise and the percent unemployment numbers we are force fed by the government are only slightly skewed, in other words unemployment is actually higher that the 9.8% we are being told. And what about the 9.8% anyway, didn't 44 promise, guarantee, step on a crack it'll break your mom's back that he had the magic formula that would keep unemployment under 8% and that it would never exceed that number on his watch, well I'm no mathematician but in my grammar school math class 9.8% was always larger than 8%, what the heck maybe this is new math. Oh, I forgot one thing that may negate all of this, you see if unemployment goes down it's because the current administration is doing a great job and if the number goes up it's the guy before him that deserves the blame, now I'm not now and never was a big fan of Ws' but even true believers are starting to have a tough time swallowing the bull s_ _t these guy's keep throwing out.
Instead of spending time on the economy this administration runs off in every other direction paying back favors that they owe to those who helped them get elected and that is just plain stupid unless they all know they have a one termer on their hands and they want to collect as much money and favors as they can before the anointed one gets the hook and is sent back to his Hyde Park home in Chicago. They say The University Chicago hasn't found a replacement for Michelle Obama, maybe their waiting for the next state Senator from their area to be elected or the replacement for Roland Burris in 2010 so there is a desk to place his or her wife or husband at. And who knows, maybe their waiting for Mrs. Obama to become available again in 2012 since they can't find anyone that qualified in the ever expanding national employment pool.
