Talks begin this week with the Chinese on the economy, Korea and how jobs may be created in the US to help lift us out of the recessiondepression that we helped to create. Sadly we are in a horribly weak position to negotiate with the Chinese on any topic. Our government allowed our greed driven corporations to export the bulk of the manufacturing job in this country to China over the last twenty years and the principle influence used to sway the government was through lobbying efforts which is nothing more than a legalized form of bribery. In order to 'maximize profits' rather than modernize their facilities to compete worldwide, the corporations moved their manufacturing offshore with the blessings of the government, and the government being as short sighted as the corporations took the money and essentially put the wheels in motion that have led to the economic crisis we are in today, at least that's how I perceive things to be in my simple world.
The Chinese, wanting to fuel their fledgling economy were a most willing recipient of the jobs and in fact were gracious enough to come, dismantle obsolete factories and move them in whole to China where they reassembled the obsolete factories and went to work, in the process putting millions of Americans out of work. The Chinese, being much better long range planners than their American counterparts knew that they could start their economy, eventually rebuild with hi-tech factories and by artificially keeping their labor costs low could bring us to our knees as they have today. Essentially what they have done is turn us into a beggar nation as we have to consult with the Chinese before we make any financial moves because they also had the insight to buy up the debt we were creating from our reckless spending and ever increasing trade deficit.
Since the talks are to held here don't expect much. We really have nothing to bargain with at this point, we have a huge trade deficit, have no real way to get the Chinese to let their currency float other than begging. It's just a guess but I'd say China uses North Korea for nuclear research and they aren't about to stop until they have squeezed every bit of information they can get from testing, they also have an excellent foil in the North Koreans as a way to keep the east and west off balance.
Other than an opportunity for 44 to make, what is becoming an almost daily occurrence, another speech and I have no clue what number this one is, it is also a chance for Hillary Clinton to save some face from her recent verbal thrashing and public humiliation at the hands of the North Koreans and another chance to drag out Tim Geithner to show one more time how ineffective he really is. There is an upside to all of this, even though we will have to put up 150 Chinese trade delegates and spies for however long the meetings run, there's some solace in the fact that US taxpayers don't have to pay to send our delegation on a junket to China, put them up in hotels, pay for meals, entertainment and whore house excursions.

The left has resorted to dragging out every race baiter they could muster this past week, 44 himself even got into the act, how shameful and stupid.
President Obama made a point when answering questions after his failed health care reform speech last night of touching on the arrest of his 'close friend', Henry Louis 'skip' Gates Jr the distinguished Harvard professor of black studies. Mr. Obama went on to dis the Cambridge police when he had no facts in an effort to raise the issue of racism probably thinking it may get him and his unpopular program big points with the 'guilt ridden' white American public, it failed miserably. I must say though that the liberal progressive media has had a field day with this donkey show for the last couple of days. One race baiter after another has been trotted out and allowed all of the air time necessary to put one set of viewers after another fast asleep with their over worn 60's rhetoric.
One of the best commentaries was on Hardball when Chris Matthews had to show one of his black guests that he is the consummate white beating white guy when he brought up 'the time he hailed a cab at an east coast airport for a 'distinguished looking black man', or he may have even used the ever popular distinguished African American gentleman, when no cabs would stop for him', I wonder if he did that to get invited to this years Quanza festivities at some nice black family's home inside the beltway.
What Mr. Matthews as well as his distinguished guests failed to elaborate on was the fact that cabs don't like to stop for black men regardless how distinguished they look because so many cab drivers have been robbed, well since we're trying to be truthful, robbed and killed by this particular demographic over the years. It is genuinely sad that black men have to suffer this indignation, but what is more disturbing is the fact that this goof and people like him intimate through their tone and expression that it is white cab drivers that pass the black men up, whites are a very small minority of cab drivers, that field is dominated minority groups and their fear of robbery and potential death is real.
So to those who think they are furthering Mr. Obama's agenda by using this old and tired tactic, give it a rest, no one is buying it.

Even the CBO is having a tough time swallowing the Obama health plan, I wonder why?
In this mornings news there were several items of interest, the first being the CBO which I believe is the Congressional Budget Office, came out and contradicted the Administration's assertion that their proposed health plan would save money, lot's of money. Apparently, some bureaucrat over at the CBO must have found their Texas Instruments basic elementary school calculator in the back of a desk drawer and decided to do some good old basic add'in and subtract'in, just for the fun of it and found out that someone over at the White House was try'in to run some numbers. Running the numbers sometimes has the connotation that someone is trying to put something over on a very unsophisticated audience (reference the emotionally led American public).
They said there wasn't going to be a half trillion dollar savings but they were going to end up spending at least a half trillion dollars more than they were projecting. Our President and his staff have continually spouted how they are going to fix everything and save costs which is proving time and again to be nothing more than a bunch of bureaucrats making claims they can't back up with real facts. What the heck, this was so blatant that the CBO couldn't even cover for them. We are in need of health care reform, but why not start with a very thorough and comprehensive overhaul of whats in place and then look at what else needs to be done before committing trillions to a plan that has not been very well thought out.
The the other bit of news is the Veep and his advising people to spend as this is the way out of the recession, Joe, overspending and irresponsible Politicians like you are what got us into this mess and are what is perpetuating it.

I have never seen so many scared liberal types come out of the woodwork when the name Sarah Palin is mentioned.
I always qualify myself when it comes to the subject of Sarah Palin, I'm not a great fan but the criticism she has taken from both sides is an indication of how much Republicans are afraid of her, and why I don't know other than she would be difficult for party higher ups to control as she appears to have her own thoughts as to how things should be. The Democrats on the other hand are stricken with stark terror by something as simple as her mere image on a magazine cover or television news report. This fear is evidenced by the hysterical attacks fronted by the liberal/socialist media personalities, if you can call them that. Like it or not she has a following and like it or not is electable and that scares the liberal element in this country more than anything.
Why she stepped down is essentially her own business, more than likely she has future plans and as they say this was probably a good move. Why stay on as governor of a really small state with little or no exposure when the 2010 elections are right around the instant media corner and if she has plans for 2012 she has to get on the stick and begin to build an organization and build the credibility she will need to get elected or help someone to get elected.
As the rumors fly she looks as though she will get some kind of show of sorts and has a book deal in the works, good for her, she's worked hard to get to where she is today.

44 got personal with Russian graduates, talked Democracy, cooperation and even said they were friends. I'll bet you he didn't buy it either!
The President gave one of his many speeches to a graduating class in Moscow and discussed changes in the world and the changes that have taken place in Russia for the better. I'll admit it is slightly better but the political situation hasn't really changed one stinking bit. Putin ran the country like a dictator and then hand picked Medvedev to make things look like Russia has embraced a new democratic style of government. He even mentioned in one speech that Mr. Medvedev won by 70% a similar number to Amadinejad's margin in Iran and the world knows how much on the up and up that fiasco was. The media is state controlled and the talking heads are told what they can say, ah yes freedom. The KGB has just changed it's name and the government Nationalizes any essential business that they don't already have a piece of, sounds a little like the direction a certain country that uses the letters USA as an identifier is going in.
During the speech he specifically mentioned his African ancestry in relation to opportunities available to minorities and others in a free society, but, why is it he never mentions his white ancestry, in fact he goes out of his way to avoid discussing any connection to white people. He's half white you know and was raised by his white grandparents. I'm not saying this made him any better or worse but by his own admission his father was less than a stand up guy. Now I can say I'm not ashamed of my ancestry at all, maybe a little of the Irish but not at all by the German and Russian Jewish parts.
He went on to say that Russia and the US were not destined to be antagonists, that's OK but after his meeting with the real boss Putin, the Russian leader came out and said"On areas that we disagree like Georgia, I don't anticipate a meeting of the minds anytime soon", directness is one of the few likable attributes that Putin possesses. If the Prez wants to forge a lasting partnership with the Russians, it will take China turning on the rest of the world to have that happen and then it will last about as long as the alliance lasted during and after WWII.
We have to deal with the Russians but we should deal with extreme caution. Earlier today some liberal mush brain was sounding off about the wisdom of the US destroying it's entire nuclear arsenal and if this was accomplished the rest of the world would follow, sure they would, after they enslaved us all and or extorted every concession that could be wrung from neutered society by an enemy. I hope Mr. Obama woke up to the smell of some really strong Russian coffee while they were there and came to his senses a little, but I don't think so.

We need term limits on all elected offices, repealing of the 22nd Amendment will lead to either dictatorship or Socialism of the worst variety.
The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution was passed in 1947 and for good reason, after careful review of FDR's terms and what the possible consequences could be in the future. Even though very few Presidents have served past two terms our founding fathers saw more than two terms as a step in the direction of Monarchy. Now before any of you liberal punch sipping idiots go off on the Monarchy thing and how it is an outdated concept and wouldn't work today, put your walnut sized brains to work for a minute or an hour and make the comparison to Dictatorship or Socialism or Totalitarianism or whatever and think this one over before trying to convince the world that elected leaders should be allowed to stay in office indefinitely.
This bill was introduced by the Socialist Congressman from the Bronx the Honorable Jose Serranno. Mr Serrano must see this as a way to get a fellow Socialist, Mr. Obama, in office for a very long term and thus usher the US into the Socialist age. Why is it people come hee from other countries, Puerto Rico in the case of Mr. Serranno, and want us to change our form of government. Why not just go back there and finish ruining his native country. Mr. Serrano's personal philosophy is that there should be equality and that means equal everything for everyone, that means if you work smart and hard you get the same as some lazy ass that doesn't want to do either, work hard or smart, good thinkin' Congressman.
I'm for term limits in all offices from the highest national to the lowliest of local. I really believe we wouldn't be in the mess we're in today if we had term limits. The only way we will clean up government in this country is to impose term limits, but sadly it is an issue that has to be voted in and without pressure from voters it will never happen, remember term limits is to a politician what a cross or a stake through the heart is to a vampire, they will go to virtually any length to avoid doing the right thing, and by the way term limits would get rid of the likes of the Congressman from the Bronx.
