First we had Janet Napolitano telling us, America, that the system worked, then she changed her tack and probably her underwear too when she realized that everyone in the listening audience knew that the system didn't work because it was being run by a bunch of incompetents. Ms. Napolitano then went on to say that the system hadn't worked properly but had because in her words the 'event' was fouled, nice try Janet, it was in the words of a former FBI agent, 80% effective and the parts that were completed were devastating in that the country was terrorized, the air traffic system staggered and we were forced to put all kinds of new security measures into action. The only thing that was missing was loss of life and a large explosion.
Then we, America, get one story after another from just about every governmental agency with the possible exception of the post office each making the government's handling of the entire situation look like a disaster at best, they even tried to blame George Bush at one point and finally shut up when they realized that their guy has been in office for a year now and security for our country has been securely in the hands of 44's people since the inauguration. So the President finally comes before the cameras after three days and God knows how many tennis games and rounds of golf and more than likely at the urgings of his handler people and makes a statement to the effect that we will hunt each and every one of these dastardly people and bring them to Justice, here! here! and all that and a day later he realized that no one bought what he said.
Now we get the new explanation that our Intel people had information but there will have to be an investigation to find out if we could have stopped the terrorist, all the while softening the statement from a terrorist attack to a fouled attempt to a botched effort and I'm sure in a couple of days it will be called a bad publicity stunt and then relegated to the back page of the papers before being cut, there's only one problem, it's the third attack of it's kind this year under the watchful eye of our government and no one is forgetting other than the easy to hipmotize true believers.
Maybe it's time for profiling since all of the politically correct methods have failed miserably. Whats wrong with leaving the grandmothers in wheel chairs go through unless they're looking for a good frisk, and pay attention to middle eastern and mainly Islamic types who are the ones that are the poster boys for terrorism. And then, as one former CIA operative said, annihilate them and the problem will be ended once and for all.

Math for Democrat's; 10's of billions for the Medicare prescription drug benefit by the GOP is far worse than Trillions for bogus Health Care Reform.
Typical of the Alinsky inspired Democrat's in Washington DC they' took another ride in the 'way back machine' with Mr. Peabody and his pet boy Sherman' to ostensibly create another smoke screen to hide what are going to be the astronomical costs associated with their health care reform bill. The year they landed in was 2003 when the Bush administration and the GOP deficit financed and added the 'prescription drug benefit to Medicare.
It goes without saying that there should have been a modest tax increase put into effect to cover the prescription drug benefit and based on the success of the program would more than likely have found universal acceptance with most Americans. But to compare a program that will end up costing several hundred billion over a ten year period as compared to their reform program that is more than likely going to cost us several trillion over the same time period is just plain stupid. And as far as government programs go the prescription drug benefit program was and is as transparent as a program can be which again is the exact opposite of the program being proposed by the Democratic Congress and their friends in the Senate.
I would think that since we are coming into an election year the Democrats have the most to loose since even a small shift will put an end to their ironclad majority. I'm guessing that many of the Democrats are wishing for just that as they have 'seen the light' in the Socialist inspired policies and proposals put forth by Mr. Obama at the direction of his handlers and advisers like Rahm Emanuel, George Soros and Cass Sunstein. The programs that the Obama administration have so far proposed really have nothing to do with helping Americans which is evidenced by the fact that the Obama administration has absolutely no concern about the financial burden his theoretical solutions to 'social issues' will place squarely on the backs of average Americans, specifically; Health Care Reform, Cap On Trade, Climate Change and Alternative Energy Development.
This coming year is the first time that American voters will have a chance to put a stop to the costly vague programs being proposed by the crooks and ideologues that inhabit Congress and the Senate.

The prayer controversy in the Senate was the right request at the right time and for all the right reasons.
Senator Coburn a Republican from the great desolate state of Oklahoma couldn't have been more on the money when he asked everyone to pray that some of the Democratic Senators that were about to sell us down the river to a socialist inspired health care program, wouldn't be able to find their way down to the Senate floor to vote. Now I personally don't think he was asking that these people meet their end or get their just reward even though there wouldn't be much along the lines of a day of mourning if they did make their way to the great beyond.
My best guess is that he was praying and requesting that we all do the same and request in our prayers that each and every Democratic Senator lose track of time while dallying with their mistresses and whatever, or overstay their welcome at their favorite watering hole and while away the evening in the same drunken stupor most of them are in the majority of the time. The Democrats on the other hand immediately reach for their Alinsky handbooks and start throwing the usual accusations, first insinuating that he meant the ailing 92 year old Senator from West Virginia, Robert Byrd who probably sleeps through most Senate votes and more than likely has a string attached that one of his colleagues uses to raise his hand when his vote is needed. My real question is, how do these guy's keep getting elected to office when it's generally quite apparent that they should have moved on years ago. Byrd in the Senate must be like Douglas was in the Supreme court at the end of his agonizing tenure.
One of the best parts of this show was Senator Durbin, an abortion loving Senator from the great and corrupt state of Illinois, a religion basher in that as a good Democrat he is for the removal of all signs of Religion in public places, taking a pot shot at Senator Coburn for 'invoking God's name in prayer for political proposes', in God's name Dick even a Senator like yourself, can't pull that one off. In the end the vote went through but the shows not over yet. There is time to pray that this horrid bill doesn't make it in it's current or House form. Pray that America wakes up and writes their Congressmen and Senators and let them know how they feel about getting screwed, also that they won't forget this when elections come up in 2010 and 1012.

Just when I thought it was safe to go into the water Al Gore pipes up with another prediction for rising water levels. So what now a new deep end?
I am fast coming to the conclusion that Al Gore got his speaking style from some of the old 'B' movies that flooded the theatres and Drive In's during the 50's and sixties, and for the most part people have paid attention to his 'B' movie rantings like teenagers in the back seat of their dad's 66 Chevy Impala. Yesterday though he fired his latest round across the bow of the good ship 'Intelligence' with his newest prediction that the earth's polar ice cap is in danger of melting within the next 5 to 7 years. Now from what I can gather the only way we could possibly stop this from occurring is to do the following.
First we have to kill off somewhere in the neighborhood of half to three quarters of the earths population, and of course bury them as opposed to burn as the carbon dioxide would be staggering although composting or an alternate food source (reference the movie Soilent Green)might also have some merit. Secondly we that are left, and I am assuming that I will as someone has to keep a written record of the event, will have to revert to our earliest instincts as we are going to have to live in a stone age setting since all forms or power generation, sanitation, manufacturing, transportation, central government and mass gatherings will have to be eliminated to cut down on greenhouse gases, all matches and butane lighters will have to be destroyed so there is no chance of fires being set for any purpose, in other words all food will be eaten raw and no more distilling or marijuana (which will probably drive most of the Progressive types to an early end anyway).
If all of this can be accomplished within the next two years, about the same time table President Obama lied about with his Afghan Policy, we have a slight chance that the caps won't melt and the seas won't rise, but then again with half of the people gone we won't miss a few miles of coastline. The world fish populations will come back, wildlife as was only known long before the turn of the century will also return, the PETA people would be so happy, but it won't matter because they are going to be in the group to be killed off to help save the planet along with all of the Pro-choicers, tree huggers, environmental scientists that have contrived most of this stuff, Democratic patronage workers (which may actually meet the one half of the worlds population), Socialists and atheists since they are basically the same as all of the above.
Essentially, Al Gore has stuffed his foot in his mouth once again and sadly he will have the goofs that listen to him filling his pockets with cash again to help prolong this moron's crusade for fake science.

Lets see, unemployment took a jump this week, deficit's still growing so's the Afghan war, that's it, the perfect time to go and get your Nobel Prize.
Another first for the Obama Presidency, going to Oslo to collect his Nobel Peace Prize from another group of liberal minded phonies and of course a chance the Prez and 'buff arms' to have a quick lunch with the King and Queen of Norway before jumping on Air Force One and wasting the second half of the approximately $275,000,00 dollars that it costs to fly them to Norway, put them up and fly them back home, whats wrong with this picture. Well, if you'll read on I'll try to get a few quick points across.
First and foremost, no sitting President has ever wasted his time going to personally pick up his prize and the cash associated with it. Woodrow Wilson and Teddy Roosevelt didn't, they sent an ambassador and an assistant. So as ineffective President as Wilson was he understood how insignificant the 'Prize' was in relation to running the country in time of crisis, the same applies to Roosevelt although he may have had a fishing trip planned for that day. I will check on Norway's voting record in relation to US policy but if I was to guess I would say they vote against us more than with us which means I wouldn't waste my time to meet them in line at a McDonald's carry out window let alone sit at the same table for a fish dinner.
First and foremost, the employment numbers took another jump this week, which means the Obama's should have cancelled their plans even though Oslo may be one of the stops on the Obama world tour. Wasting the money to fly there is bad enough but the image this pompous ass projects by leaving the helm of the foundering ship of state that he supposedly Captain's is unconscionable.
First and foremost, how can this President bring a known liar in the form of Al Gore to the White House to consult on climate issues. Climate gate is only one more small piece of information that has shown Gore to be a fraud and yet this President seeks his council on how to present his case to the World Climate meetings in Copenhagen. And again, how can a President faced with the economic crisis' we have here at home take time to attend another meeting that will only cost us dearly, why not work on our economy and when it's back in shape take a few days off, oh I forgot, he may finally be getting the message that he probably won't be here after 2012.

Green Jobs, Climate Change, thats the ticket Jethro! thats how we confuse the moronic middle class until we get all the money and power.
The President and his 'people' are out there telling us that the best way to fire up our flagging economy is to create 'Green Jobs' since green jobs are the future. So far there's been only one little flaw in their plan and that flaw is that no-one in the Obama administration can really tell anyone what the 'Green Jobs' are, even though they throw out job *CREATION figures in the millions and that we need to invest HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS in these jobs as quickly possible, does that mean HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS like the TARP money that went to their friends in the banking and financial industry that disappeared like an early morning fog bank when the sun comes up and the great investments in the car companies that are really paying off so quickly, GM sales are down 5%, that's means minus, this past month, and Chrysler a whopping -25% which means they can't give their cars away.
There is documented proof that the monies that have been thrown out so far equate to about $240,000.00 to *CREATE each of the jobs the Obama people have been trumpeting and many of those it turns out are temporary. Green jobs on the other hand cost considerably more to create and themselves are not necessarily permanent, so what's the answer, I have one and I'm sure there are many. Make funds available to small business and individuals that are starting small business, do it in the form of Grants and loans, they will actually create permanent jobs that contribute to the economy in the form of taxes to help pay down our ballooning deficit. Big business if you remember exported most of their manufacturing jobs and the likelihood of them bringing those jobs back here anytime soon isn't going to happen. There isn't a credible economist out there that won't tell you that REAL permanent job creation comes from small business.
But if that happened it would create an environment where the working class wouldn't be dependant on the government and I really don't think that's part of the master plan.
Thanks for reading,
*CREATION - A term used by the Obama administration referring to the creation of jobs that has turned out to be an outright lie based on total fabrication with the sole intent of deceiving the American public into thinking that their policies were effective.

One east coast elitist said tonight, 'Mr. Obama seems to finally be connected'. If thats true, then what's he been doing for the last eleven months?
I listened to part of the President's speech this past evening and came away with a few of my own opinions. More troops are probably what is partly needed to get this mess under control however the eighteen month timeline is in my opinion realistic, practical and more than likely not attainable. Considering that we will not have the new troops in place before January of 2010 and those troops will take at least a month to two months to get placed and another month to get the lay of the land so to speak that adds up to somewhere in the vicinity of four months shot in the seat of the pants out of the eighteen the President claims is all that's needed to subdue an enemy that no one in recorded history has been able to defeat.
I realize part of his timeline logic is based on timing for his' highly anticipated run for a second term as are most of the other time lines for programs he has proposed since being elected to the highest office in the land. But the war in Afghanistan has nothing to do with being re-elected and the problems there are far more complex than the feelings of the Afghan people not being enamored with the idea of being occupied by another Soviet style army, which we definitely are not. The Karzai regime is going to have to get in step with our policies immediately if there is to be any real permanent progress made and that is going to be almost impossible considering the fact that Karzai is corrupt on a scale our government may not be able to comprehend, on the other hand they may know exactly what they are dealing with, but either way he is going to be like trying to control another Saddam Hussein and we know how that ended.
Today the Afghan generals were saying they needed almost twice the number of troops and national police that we have given as estimates, before they will be able to hold back the Taliban, if we have not been able to properly train the personnel they currently have how in God's name will we manage in the time being allowed before we pull out? There is continued talk about the fact that the Taliban and Al qaeda have long range plans, and let me put this in the proper context since we Americans generally don't think past the end of our proverbial 'dicks', their plans cover many years, like whatever it takes maybe several generations if necessary and as such they can lay back, wait for an adversary to spend themselves, like the Russians did, as a contemporary example, then dig up their weapons, rockets and bomb materials and go back to work. For some reason our politicians don't address this point and in fact go out of their way to avoid confronting it, as was the case in an interview I watched this evening with an East coast elitist ambassador type.
There may be a possibility to win this conflict but time lines to appease a far left constituency is not the way to go about it. This is going to take a gargantuan effort as Afghanistan hasn't got the sophistication or the resources of an Iraq. This is basically a 'total build out' of a country emerging from the middle ages that will require monetary resources that may very well tax us and others beyond our capabilities.
