The new poll apparently commissioned by AFP, you know the Agence France-Presse showing that Blacks in America view Senator Obama more favorably than their White counterparts do is another example of a liberal news outlet trying to make a case for racial inequality in America by using the upcoming elections as a smoke screen for their feeble efforts to stir up controversy in the race pot. It's true, and I don't think there are any Americans either black or white that will dispute that Blacks view Mr. Obama as their guy. But as a whole, Blacks vote for Blacks regardless of the background of the candidate, I guess because it's kind of a Black thing whatever that is, so where is the big news here. According to the poll Blacks and Whites agree that a Black president would be OK but then the poll slides into a racial standoff and the Frenchy's are only able to provide a one sided argument which is decidedly to the left, horribly biased and shows their complete lack of knowledge of affairs within the United States. It goes on to say that Blacks feel they are unfairly picked on by police, are constant victims of discrimination, don't have much contact with "people of color" in their jobs, neighborhoods are not integrated and there has been no progress in race relation in the last ten years and on and on and on, the only thing missing was a whiny quote from either Al Sharpton, the ever effusive Jessie Jackson, or the ever inflammatory Louis Farrakahn for a real "all whites are devil's" opinion.
Reality being the French Press is clueless when it comes to social issues in the USA. What they need to do is look at the American Society as a whole and they would readily see that the racial discrimination they write about is more or less self imposed, that we as Americans have the ability to choose whether or not we want to take part in this dynamic society we all, black and white, are a part of. It would be foolish to say that discrimination in America is non-existent or for that matter, has gone away, but it is much less than a sensationalizing media attempts to make it out to be. Much has been done to alleviate this problem and much continues to be done, however, the process is made difficult by those who profit from poverty, discrimination, paranoia, fear and hate (refer to the above mentioned three individuals as prime examples of people who make their rather substantial livings by keeping their "people" down).
I am not personally a big fan of Mr. Obama, however I have and will continue to look and listen to him and cannot say that I would not vote for him. My opinions are, however, not based on his race but his politics, which I disagree with more than agree. Mr. Obama does in fact have some personal traits that I find quite admirable and as such I think he is probably a pretty decent guy overall, but, I also have reservations about voting for any Politician from the great sovereign State of Illinois, especially when he or she is a known associate or acquaintance of some low life, kind of a birds of a feather approach that has served me well overall. As a matter of fact, I have yet to run into one person who say's they would not vote for a Black man or woman based on race as the vast majority of people I know would just like to see someone decent in the Oval Office for the next four to eight years, since the last sixteen has seen it used as a backdrop for an occasional B _ _ w J _ b and to feather the nest's of friends and family without regard for the impact of their actions on the American people and our economy.
Soooooo, you little wiener kissing French pollsters, the next time you try to slam our system and falsely depict the White (no other group was mentioned) people of America as racist thugs who are only out to keep people of African American decent in a sub class, please do this one little thing first, remove your heads from your Escargot stuffed asses, inhale some of the good clean democratic (as in non socialist) air we breath in America, and print something that has some basis in fact.
