Wow, Senator Kerry has added some new titles to his somewhat storied resume, General and Military Strategist, goodbye Afghanistan.

Senator Kerry just can't seem to keep himself out of the news and for good reason, he wants all of the limelight he can get and always has. Within the last week he helped 'broker' the deal to get 'his friend' Hamid Karzi to accept a runoff election by more than likely promising him the moon, possibly unrestricted movement of Afghanistan's principle export, Opium. Maybe he promised him the services of ACORN in the upcoming election because that would guarantee his winning the contest and maybe he just promised him a set of plane tickets for himself and his family if the situation in Afghanistan begins to fall apart and Hamid needs someplace to go with all of the aid money he has stolen.

But the best is Mr. Kerry questioning the General McChrystal's request for more troops to be able to effectively fight against the Taliban and al qaeda, stating that his plan is to ambitious, does this mean that Senator Kerry wants to do a Robert McNamara and send as many Americans to their death as possible. He talks about sending just part of the Generals request which is nothing more that an effort to placate the left and the right, kind of a numbers game, send to few the right gets really miffed, send to many and the left goes ballistic. But either way it increases the danger for the troops that are already there as it shows that not only is Barack Obama indecisive but so are the politicians that are advising him on his every move.

An article today stated that Kerry was making these statements in front of a group from the Council on Foreign Relations which is made up of former Presidents, high ranking bureaucrats, businessmen with close government ties and scholars, an incredibly influential think tank located in New York City. My guess is that the outcome has already been settled, but there is one real sticking point in this conflict that even the Council may not have a handle on or be able to rig the outcome and that is the Afghan people don't like us, OK they can't stand us, but it's not just us it's everyone they can't stand, they don't like us or anyone else invading their country. So when the Senator is putting our troops in harms way by under staffing them his endgame as he states it may never come to pass and the membership of the Council may never reap the profits that I'm sure they do in most cases.

Anyway, I was never aware that Mr. Kerry was such a brilliant military strategist and an armchair General of such distinction. His past military history and experience surely wouldn't indicate that he was such a standout that he qualified for any of these titles, it looks more like a certain idealist appeaser, who is by the way, the top guy, that the Senator appears to be emulating. I can just see the Taliban and their al qaeda allies now, telling their people that the US has lost it's will and if they just bide their time the Yankee Imperialists will go away just like the Russians did with their tails between their legs. There are probably similar reactions in the Presidential Palaces in Russia, Iran, North Korea, China, North Africa, parts of Europe and South America. The American people are being played again by the politicians in Washington at their expense.
