The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution was passed in 1947 and for good reason, after careful review of FDR's terms and what the possible consequences could be in the future. Even though very few Presidents have served past two terms our founding fathers saw more than two terms as a step in the direction of Monarchy. Now before any of you liberal punch sipping idiots go off on the Monarchy thing and how it is an outdated concept and wouldn't work today, put your walnut sized brains to work for a minute or an hour and make the comparison to Dictatorship or Socialism or Totalitarianism or whatever and think this one over before trying to convince the world that elected leaders should be allowed to stay in office indefinitely.
This bill was introduced by the Socialist Congressman from the Bronx the Honorable Jose Serranno. Mr Serrano must see this as a way to get a fellow Socialist, Mr. Obama, in office for a very long term and thus usher the US into the Socialist age. Why is it people come hee from other countries, Puerto Rico in the case of Mr. Serranno, and want us to change our form of government. Why not just go back there and finish ruining his native country. Mr. Serrano's personal philosophy is that there should be equality and that means equal everything for everyone, that means if you work smart and hard you get the same as some lazy ass that doesn't want to do either, work hard or smart, good thinkin' Congressman.
I'm for term limits in all offices from the highest national to the lowliest of local. I really believe we wouldn't be in the mess we're in today if we had term limits. The only way we will clean up government in this country is to impose term limits, but sadly it is an issue that has to be voted in and without pressure from voters it will never happen, remember term limits is to a politician what a cross or a stake through the heart is to a vampire, they will go to virtually any length to avoid doing the right thing, and by the way term limits would get rid of the likes of the Congressman from the Bronx.
