With Europe on the verge of tanking Mr. Obama & Company appear to be ready to follow suit with more bad fiscal policy.

In case you've been limiting your TV watching to feel good sitcoms, dancing shows and liberal new outlets I'll attempt t bring you up to speed on global news. Europe has been experiencing a somewhat similar down turn to the one we have been experiencing for the last two years. However their downturn may end up being worse than ours for several reasons. First of which is the fact that the European countries are more socialized than we are and are being forced to make changes that we in the United States may not see as harsh but when you are living in a real nanny state like Europe it's like shock therapy.

Retirement age is being pushed up from 60 to 62, which here in the states may not mean much since we are at 65, but to these tools it's totally unacceptable. England is cutting 490K civil service jobs because their government is essentially broke. Ireland, we find out this week is on the verge of collapse as well as Greece, Spain, Portugal and as one article stated, all of Europe. So what are they going to do, slash spending and raise taxes, what else, which any economist will tell you is the exactly what should not be done to remedy the situation. Slash spending but do not raise taxes in times when your economy is tanked. Even a non financial guy like myself can manage to understand the concept so whats going on in the minds of the leaders of the European countries and in our own government as well.

Raising taxes curbs economic growth and that also applies to the extension of tax cuts here in the US. The Obama people are so taken up with their share the wealth socialist ideal they just don't get the idea that tax cuts need to be applied across the boards if they want to see growth in our economy. At the same time we need to reduce the size of government and reduce government spending. If the UK is letting 490K go we should be able to let several million go without affecting how the country runs.

We also need to look at the salaries being paid to government workers as they have shot up excessively in the last few years, remember government workers get retirement and benefits that have always been better than their counterparts in the private sector and this consideration should be factored into what they are paid. In short we are in need of a general overhauling of the system. If the system was to be overhauled our economy would begin to expand rapidly. But for some strange reason Mr. Obama and his liberal base don't want that to happen, they seem bent of instituting policies that will have the opposite effect on the economy and the country. I guess that's why Mr. Obama has been accused as of late even by the liberal media types of having socialist leanings.

I guess he hasn't learned much in the last two years and hopefully keeps on the same path for the next two, which will make it easier to send him back to Chicago in 2012, permanently.

" In every declining civilization there is a small 'remnant' of people who adhere to the right against the wring; who recognize the difference between good and evil and who will take an active stand for the former and against the latter; who can still think and discern and who will courageously take a stand against the political, social, moral, and spiritual rot or decay of their day".
