In the interest of bi-partisan cooperation, fairness and transparency I am giving equal drubbings to high profile women from both political parties, then I hope they will both drift into political obscurity.
I don't understand why any legitimate media outlet is still covering the Sarah Palin experience, or whatever it's called. She was a good choice from a publicity standpoint and possesses the required smarts for the VP job, reference Joe Biden for a good close comparison, but the thought of her running for Pres is a joke at best. If the Repub's are seriously looking for a female face to make a run for the top job they should be grooming the likes of Carly Fiorina or Meg Whitman, that's if they want someone from outside of politics, but there's also a decent pool of women in The Congress and The Senate that could probably fill the bill easily, and what the heck, if it's just name recognition that light's your particular political fire, slog up the seat assuming Mary Bono Mack, wife of the late great Congressman Sonny Bono, I think one of her claims to fame is that she said 'not only can I spell conservative, I are one' or something like that, I think, but maybe not, but maybe.
It appears she, Governor Palin, has her winking eyes on more than just her current job or even the Senate seat from her home state, that great state of Alaska. And to keep her name in the public eye she keeps throwing her kid's to the media wolves in an effort to keep the spotlight's on, and then accuses the media of going after her family for solely malicious purposes, it ain't workin'. The Gov more than likely knows she hasn't got a chance if she can't maintain a national presence. I have gone through the exercise of comparing VP's from as far back as FDR and Sarah fits right in with the field of Vice Presidential luminaries, she would be capable of doing a Gerry Ford in the event the main guy went away, but I wouldn't expect a whole lot more.
Sarah, here's a good way to get people behind you and to show you have what it takes. Come up with some ideas that are both substantive and have real world viability, something that all Americans will benefit from. Then you won't have to resort to cheap theatrics and crass promotion.
Caroline Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg or is it Schlossberg Kennedy
The clone of Chance the Gardener, the not so effervescent Caroline Kennedy, aka, Caroline Schlossberg ,aka, The daughter of JFK ,aka, thinks she is American Royalty, has finally abandoned her two month long dream of getting her hands on the Senate seat vacated by Hillary Clinton. It appears Ms. Kennedy Schlossberg has several 'issues' that have forced her handlers to rethink her future in American Politics. First, she has the public speaking skills of a ten year old, and that's not good for a Senate hopeful. Second, the media claims she may be banging some guy in New York which will generate bad publicity that even the Kennedy fixers may not be able to white wash. Third, she and or her handlers tried to fabricate a past work history which took about five minutes to see through and lastly she may have tax issues, nanny issues and I would guess there may be some lights out in the bill board issues and was not even a regular voter which is a pretty good ndication she probably isn't quite up to snuff on what's going on in the world around her.
I can only hope that the good Secretary of State had a hand in helping to cement the withdrawal by sitting with the Governor of New York and telling him she would personally choke the life out of him if he appointed Ms. Kennedy to the post for reasons both personal and public. If you remember, Caroline came out against Mrs. Clinton in the primaries and swung with Mrs. Clinton's new boss, which in most people's books would have eliminated her from any consideration at all, but that's why they call it politics.
We are still a Democracy, we don't embrace Autocracy, Authoritarianism, Despotism, Totalitarianism, Monarchism, Corporatocracy(even though it seems that way sometimes), Demarchy, Dictatorship, Feudalism, Kritocracy, Logocracy, Meritocracy or Plutocracy and as such you just can't grab a seat amongst the elected elite, you do have to put forth some effort and at least appear to have a desire to lead. Bye bye Caroline.
Thanks for reading.
