Hamas, If we're lucky the Israeli's will rid the world of this particular blight once and for all.

Normally I am all for negotiating peaceful settlements to conflicts and differences of opinion, but in the case of Hamas, their predecessors and almost all other terrorist organizations I say torch em, torch em one and all. Terrorist organizations like Hamas, Fatah(not currently listed as a terrorist organization but just give them a chance and they will be up to their old tricks, remember Arafat only changed when he figured out how to get money from the west and steal most of it), Lashkar-e-Taiba, Al Qaeda/Al Qaida, Hezbollah the PLO and any other Islamic or Islamic inspired groups as well as any non-Islamic terror groups are a blight on the world stage and have no place in the process of progress, they serve no good purpose whatsoever. To attempt negotiation with groups whose primary method of influence is extreme violence directed at civilian populations is totally unacceptable.

The weak 'sisters' who have advocated negotiating with these various groups over the years have all been proven wrong time and time again. Negotiating with these groups, as the likes of Zbigniew Brezezinski would like to believe they can, is nothing more than carrot and stick diplomacy. Sadly, in the real world this type of coercion only works well with farm animals, small children and professional athletes.

The current situation in the middle east was destined to happen, if it were not for the sole purpose of destroying The Nation of Israel, Hamas would not exist to begin with. The same applies to the PLO, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda, Fatah and most other Islamic terrorist entities. The Israeli's had no choice but to mount the current offensive when considering the recent trend of world governments leaning to the left and avoiding justifiable action in favor leaving a legacy of weakness and capitulation, those are luxuries they should neither care for or wish to possess. They have just cause and should go as far as they can in eliminating the leadership structure of Hamas, frankly I'm surprised they haven't done this sooner, other than the fact that the 'nutless' UN and the ever benign Bush administration have held them back.

In case you are wondering why this action is taking place, Hamas stated several weeks ago that they would not renew their ceasefire agreement with Israel since there were not enough new carrots forthcoming, in other words the Israeli's weren't going to cave to any new demands, and therefore proceeded to launch around 200 Qassam rockets and mortars into Israel from Gaza. In the event you have never had a rocket fired at or near you and or have been on the receiving end of a mortar attack, I can tell you from very personal experience that it strikes fear into the hearts of even the most cold blooded of individuals. The people of Israel have shown amazing restraint and flexibility in dealing with these people and it appears they have finally come to their senses and decided to do what should have been done a long time ago.

I apologize for any inconvenience these switch's from blog to blog might cause.
