I spent several days in a local circuit court system over the last three months and came out with a worse opinion of the system and how it operates than I thought I would. Not that I ever thought for a moment that it would be favorable at all, but it is far worse than I ever imagined.
There was one bright spot in the entire experience though, and hopefully this will give you some idea of what the system has evolved into, this is an actual comment that was made in a very low voice during a court proceeding by a defendant. "This is a real Ghost Busters II moment - I hope the Scalari brothers don't come out and try to get us"
That pretty much sum's up the whole thing.
